Kaiju revisited 8 by felipe-elias Kaiju revisited 8 by felipe-elias
During my childhood I was a big fan of the daikaiju live-action movies, and this is why I decided to prepare a small tribute with my fanart series, inspired by those classic monsters, icons of pop culture for many generations. I would like to feature the classic kaiju from my point of view, with a very particular aesthetic touch.
The list of kaiju that have featured over the decades is huge, and I will not include all of them. So I chose some of my favourites of all time, and some that have great potential for new designs.
...
Now, Biollante, one of the most famous daikaiju from Toho movies.

Previous: Godzilla [link] , Anguirus [link] , Baragon [link] , Rodan [link] , Gorosaurus [link] , Manda [link] and Mothra [link]

Biolante, the Godzilla Zombie Rose from HELL! Actually, she? was nicer than Godzilla. Hmmmmmm.....I'd personally like to see the head be bigger and more menacing, but this is cool as it is.

For me , Biollante was always a perfect monster, I didnt think someone would be able to "revise" it in a way it looks cooler than the original, but your version is just as cool as the original :D
I like how the head is in that huge flower :D
I have only one wuestion: why did you replace the fly traps on the arms with those finger like structures, are they meant for locomotion ?

Hi Dillon, how are you?
Thank you very much for all your compliments!
Well, I know there are people who like my redesigns and there are people who dislike as well. I always hope that people be mature enough at least to respect my right and let me express my art, because I'm not attacking or offending anyone. =)

Utterly horrifying, as she should be. The flytraps really make her seem realistic, seeing as she's waayy too slow to chase down prey. Also, her jaws remind me a bit of the Dino Crisis 3 monstrosities.

Yeah... I like very much flytraps and I think could be an interesting strategy to get some additional prey. =)

Moscas geneticamente modificadas, ora (desculpe, Seth Brundle...).
O episódio me apavorava quando menino, ahahaha.

Valeu!

Now that is the most horrifying version of BioantieI have ever seen!

I do like the sort of cobbled together look, making her look just like the jumble of DNA she is.

In my opinion one of the most badass-kaijus ever! I remember being "holy crap! how the hell is G going to handle this one?"
Great touch with the flytraps, of course being that gigantic, they are ment for helicopter-size prey :)

It's actually rather sensical the more you look at it =). Biollante was a mutation and you really bring out the utter horror of that concept to light here. I like how the main head looks like it unfurled the petals to reveal the gaping saurian face, combining the two stages of the character together. I take it this version can't uproot itself and move around if need be but that's alright, in the film her prey came to her anyway.
